1. Purpose of the Firearms Control ActThe Act aims to:

2. Key Requirements for Firearm Ownership Competency Certificate: Applicants must complete accredited training and be deemed competent to handle firearms safely.

- Safe Storage: Owners must store firearms securely in approved gun safes or strongrooms.
- Renewal & Compliance: Firearm licenses must be renewed as prescribed, and owners must remain compliant with the Act at all times.
3. Training & CompetencyUnder the Act, training is mandatory for all new firearm owners. This includes theoretical knowledge of the law and practical firearm handling.
